Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral(Extend the Counting Sequence).
Give each student a Number Board sheet and rods and unit models. Randomly, distribute the I’m Thinking of a
Number cards to various students. Call on students with a phrase card in numerical order. Begin by having the student with Card 1 read the phrase on his or her card and this student calls on another student to give the answer.
After the phrase has been read, the rest of the students count twenty numbers after the identified number or until the teacher gives a signal for them to stop. Continue in the same manner until all phrases have been read.
